Geoff graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies Degree. He also received a Diploma from Conestoga College for Environmental Engineering Applications. He has worked in home construction as well as the environmental consulting industry before taking an interest in geothermal heat pumps. Geoff is a CGC Accredited Installer and has extensive experience with all aspects of installation. |

A lifelong interest in energy conservation measures and building science has led Cam Brown on a journey that has provided clients with a variety of energy related home services involving both products and information. His education included majoring in Geography with an emphasis in physical geography and climatology. “The Heatery” provided customers with efficient air-tight wood-burning equipment and energy related products before and at a time when “off oil” was a Federal goal to reduce dependency on oil. As an Energy Advisor for Brampton Hydro performing Energy Audits under Ontario Hydro’s R.E.A.P. Program, inspected more than 750 homes identifying energy conservation measures and making recommendations for energy upgrades, estimating costs and payback. This advice was well received and many of the recommendations were installed. Formed Trillwood Homes building quality custom and semi-custom homes with high levels of insulation, energy efficient windows and doors and air sealing above Ontario building code standards. R 2000 Builders training for self and staff reinforced the value of energy efficient construction methods and materials including ground source heating equipment with first installations more than twenty years ago. As Geothermal heat-pump dealers, industry training and certification began in 1990. We have installed and serviced a variety of industry equipment and installed loop systems for other dealers. Cam is a CGC Accredited Installer and Residential Designer. He is also certified by the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) to perform Heat Loss Calculations. |
